FaceFX and my custom Maya toolset provided a quick, batchable solution for generating facial animation from audio files. An optional text file of the actors script is used to guide the solve process. 80,000 Lines of dialogue animation were kept up to date by me using this toolset. A producer helped me keep the scripted text clean for ingestion. Batch processed at ~8000 animations per night across two PCs on multiple python sub-processes from Maya. Initial FaceFX solve graphs were prototyped by an external contractor. I finalized and iterated on the graphs based on team feedback and feature requests. The final solve graphs covered these emotive categories:
Anger
Fear/worry
Pain/Hit
Surprise/excited
Drunk/Tired/Drugged
Happy
Sadness
Disgust
Asleep
Curious

The FaceFX Toolset UI I wrote is shown below.
